In July 2005, I visited the PlaneTree Health Library, formerly of San Jose, now located in Los Gatos, CA. Same wonderful slogan: "Walk in with questions; walk out with confidence." I visited again in November 2006. PlaneTree website.

Sandy Ward > Books are arranged according to the PlaneTree Classification System, which groups information into basic categories: promoting health/preventing disease,mental health/ illness/ substance use, therapies/treatments, body systems and diseases, life processes, health care consumerism, health care field, and animal health.

Sandy Ward > People can use library computers (which access special subscriptions as well as MedlinePlus) to search for information they need.

Staff member Oralia Tercero is in background. Oralia used to work at the PlaneTree library branch in a community center in San Jose, and gave me a tour there several years ago.
