Sandy Ward > The next day's newspaper reveals that I went rowing! I happened to be one of the first people to arrive at the Open House, so instead of watching others, I was the one asking questions and learning the basics, while  a newspaper reporter  and a photographer paid attention.  
I LOVED the rowing!  I spent 40 minutes out on the river all by myself. What a surprise!  It remains to be seen whether I'll be able to do so well without pontoons.
Sandy Ward > On August 6, I returned to the river and enjoyed rowing again, this time without pontoons. Afterwards, I took this photo of Stephanie and her kids in kayaks.  (A rope connects the 2nd kayak to hers.)
Sandy Ward > On August 20, I watched teenagers compete in a rowing Regatta at Brunelle's Marina, South Hadley. This is the Holyoke Care Center team carrying a 4-person boat to the dock.
Sandy Ward > On Sept 5, 2005,  Ken and I used kayaks from Holyoke Rows.
