Holyoke's new Senior Center
We were greeted by a volunteer at the new reception desk, December 3, 2012.
Norma Bagnall and many other seniors brought their own artwork to display at the new center.
Kathy Bowler, Executive Director of the Holyoke Council on Aging, was happy to hang Norma's painting in a visible place by staff offices.

Meals are served at 11:30am every weekday in the Multipurpose Room.

The Center has a 2nd floor, accessible by elevator and an open stairway

This 2nd floor room is used for band rehearsals (Mondays) and for other large group activities.
The bands now have a storage room with file cabinets for sheet music and space for drums!
"Fun with Writing" meets here in the Conference room on Mondays, 1:30-3pm.

January 4, 2013. The new tables and chairs had arrived.
New tables, too, in the 2nd floor activity area, which was very busy on this day with Whist games and a fundraiser.(1/8/13).
Note the wooden train on display near the entrance. On January 17 there was a meeting about MODEL TRAINS, because several old HO trains have been donated. See separate album: Trains at Senior Center.
February 1, 2013. The Learning Center on second floor. Just inside the curved window is where the model train layout will be built.
Transportation services help many people come to the Senior Center.
